Create Unique and Dramatic High Dynamic Range Images Video2Brain: Getting Started with HDR (2012)
In many cases the difference between the brightest and darkest areas of a scene is simply too great to capture in a single image, due to the inherent limitations of cameras. However, you can overcome those limitations through the use of high dynamic range (HDR) imaging. In this workshop from digital imaging guru Tim Grey, you?ll learn both how to capture HDR images and how to organize, assemble, and optimizethem after the fact, whether you prefer to use HDR Pro, Nik HDR Efex Pro, or Photomatix.--In this workshop you?ll learn a wide variety of techniques for creating great high dynamic range images. The contents of this course include:
In this chapter we?ll explore the basics of high dynamic range (HDR) photography, including capture considerations, image management, basic assembly of an HDR image, and more.
HDR Pro Adjustment Options
In this chapter we?ll take a close look at the many adjustment options available in HDR Pro, a tool for creating HDR images that is included in Photoshop.
Using Nik HDR Efex Pro
This chapter will focus on using HDR Efex Pro from Nik Software to create high dynamic range images.
Photomatix from HDRsoft is a powerful tool for assembling high dynamic range images, and is available as a plug-in for several image editing applications or as a standalone application. In this chapter you?ll learn how to use Photomatix to create great HDR images.
The lessons are wrapped in a feature-rich interface that lets you jump to any topic and bookmark individual sections for later review.
